Fiji is composed of 322 islands, with about 100 of them
being inhabited
by close to 800,000 people.
About 80% of all Figians live on the two main islands
of Vitu Levu
and Vanua Levu. Fiji has one local Police Force on the island of Rabi.
This island is inhabited by the indigenous
people from the island of Banaba
(also known as Ocean Island).
They were forced off their Island homeland by the British
Government after World War II. The reason for this is that
the island is made of almost pure phosphate.
