The Republic of Palau, also known as Belau, is the smallest
of the four political units to emerge from the U.S. trust
territory of the Pacific. Nine of Palau's 200 plus
islands are inhabited. Koror is the capital and claims
to contain about two thirds of the nation's population.
Palau has only a National Police Force at this time,
but some of the States have had Police Departments in the past.
