This legendary island, which was the hideout of the HMS Bounty's
mutinous crew, is the most remote place in the Pacific.
It is southeast of Tahiti and about midway between Peru
and New Zealand. They have a total Police Force of
one officer who is also the Customs and Immigration Officer.
