This tiny island group was formerly known as the Union Islands.
It is a relatively unknown and seldom visited land consisting
of three small Atolls; Atafu, Fakaofo, and Nukunonu.
They have a 10 person Police Force that used to wear the uniform
and Insignia of the New Zealand Police. Tokelau is about to
start on the road to becoming an independent nation in free
association with New Zealand. Below you will see the first
issue patch for the new Tokelau Police Force.

This is the New Zealand Police patch that was worn for years by the 10 Tokelau police officers. This is the new patch worn by Tokelau Police Officers, all 10 of them, issued in 2004.
